Jim McKinney Succeeds Steve Yendall as CFO of SiriusPoint Ltd.

SiriusPoint Ltd. announced that Jim McKinney will be the new Chief Financial Officer, effective June 3, 2024, succeeding Steve Yendall, and will report directly to CEO Scott Egan as a member of SiriusPoint’s Executive Leadership Team.

Jim McKinney brings over two decades of experience to his new role, with a proven track record as a CFO for publicly listed companies and a reputation for building high-performing finance functions. His expertise includes steering companies through transformations to position them for growth. Most recently, McKinney served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Kemper Corporation, overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, financial planning and analysis, and internal audit.

Previously, McKinney held the role of EVP and CFO at Banc of California and occupied various senior positions at organizations such as International Lease Finance Corporation and RBS Citizens Asset Finance.

CEO Scott Egan expressed gratitude for Steve Yendall’s leadership over the past 18 months and extended best wishes for his future endeavors. Egan commented on McKinney’s appointment, highlighting his extensive experience as a publicly listed CFO and his expertise in operational excellence and transformation. Egan emphasized that McKinney’s skills would be crucial as SiriusPoint continues to enhance its performance and achieve its goal of becoming a best-in-class insurer and reinsurer.
