Karen Dyrskjøt Boesen Succeeds Current CFO of DFDS Group Karina Deacon
Karen Dyrskjøt Boesen has been named the new Chief Financial Officer for the DFDS Group, effective July 1, 2024, succeeding Karina Deacon. Boesen’s appointment heralds a strategic shift for DFDS as it continues its journey towards sustainability and financial growth.
As Group CFO, Boesen will focus on enhancing financial performance, including process standardization, and will play a pivotal role in achieving DFDS’s financial targets for 2026. Her extensive experience with energy companies will be instrumental in advancing DFDS’s green transition initiatives.
Claus V. Hemmingsen, Chair of the Board of Directors, highlighted Boesen’s extensive financial and business expertise, emphasizing her valuable experience from various energy companies, which aligns with DFDS’s commitment to green transition. Boesen’s role will see her joining Torben Carlsen in the Group’s Executive Board and Executive Management Team.

Boesen’s previous role as Group CFO at Sonnedix, a leading renewable energy producer, underscores her passion for sustainability. She expressed excitement about joining DFDS during its transformative phase and her eagerness to leverage her insights and experience to drive the company’s financial ambitions while spearheading its green transition.
Boesen’s impressive career journey includes executive roles at renowned Danish and international companies, including Total, Maersk Oil, and Dong Energy. She also holds a non-executive position on the board of Green Hydrogen Systems.
