JDE Peet’s Taps Luc Vandevelde as Interim CEO
JDE Peet’s (JDEP.AS), the parent company of renowned coffee brands like Douwe Egberts and L’Or, has announced the appointment of Luc Vandevelde as its Interim Chief Executive, commencing April 1.
Joachim Creus, CEO of JAB Holding Co, expressed confidence in Vandevelde’s leadership, citing his deep understanding of JDE Peet’s and the coffee industry. Creus emphasized Vandevelde’s capability to drive shareholder value while spearheading the search for a permanent CEO.
Vandevelde brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as chairman and CEO of Marks and Spencer Group (MKS.L) and as chairman of Carrefour (CARR.PA). He has been associated with JDE Peet’s as its lead independent director since the company’s listing in May 2020.
Amidst this transition, JDE Peet’s aims to leverage Vandevelde’s expertise to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities within the competitive coffee market.
