GRENKE AG’s Supervisory Board has announced the elevation of Martin Paal, presently serving as the Head of Finance, to the position of Chief Financial Officer, effective from July 1, 2024.
Jens Rönnberg WP StB, Chair of the Supervisory Board of GRENKE AG, expressed confidence in Paal’s capabilities, highlighting his successful collaboration within the Finance department alongside Dr. Sebastian Hirsch, Isabel Rösler, and Gilles Christ, affirming their full trust and support.
CEO Dr. Sebastian Hirsch expressed satisfaction with Paal’s appointment, noting their close collaboration over the past eighteen months. Paal’s ascension to CFO signifies continuity and reinforces the company’s well-established strategy under solid governance.
Martin Paal, born in 1979, brings a wealth of finance and banking expertise to his new role, garnered through diverse experiences at esteemed international consulting firms and DZ Bank. Paal commenced his journey with GRENKE AG in June 2022 as Vice President of Controlling, swiftly advancing to assume roles as General Representative, Senior Vice President, and Head of the Finance Division by March 2023. As CFO, Paal will oversee various departments, including Accounting & Tax, Controlling and M&A, and Treasury and Reporting.
