Stefan Bulthuis Succeeds Current CFO of Royal Agrifirm Group Margret Kleinsman
Royal Agrifirm Group has appointed Stefan Bulthuis as its incoming Chief Financial Officer, effective April 1, 2024. He will succeed Margret Kleinsman, who has opted not to extend her term of office and will step down on March 31, 2024.
Bulthuis embarked on his career as an accountant with Deloitte following the completion of his studies in Business Administration. In 2000, he transitioned to FrieslandCampina, where he amassed 18 years of experience in various finance leadership roles, including Finance Director positions for key divisions such as WAMCO Nigeria, Consumer Products Benelux, and ultimately the Cheese, Butter & Milk Powder business unit. This unit, boasting a turnover of 3 billion euros, operates across 23 factories and employs 3,600 staff. In 2018, Bulthuis assumed the role of CFO at Prinsen Berning, a sports nutrition and dietary products producer under the ownership of private-equity investor Bencis.
Arian Kamp, chairman of the supervisory board of Royal Agrifirm Group, expressed confidence in Bulthuis’s appointment.
Bulthuis articulated his appreciation for Agrifirm’s cooperative structure, citing over 18 years of experience in the field. He emphasized the global reach of Agrifirm and his perpetual quest for challenges, particularly crucial in the agricultural sector, where continual evolution is paramount. Bulthuis stressed that effective financial leadership transcends mere numbers, highlighting the importance of nurturing sustainable growth. He expressed his commitment to working alongside the team to build upon the firm’s existing solid foundations.
