Daniel Muldoon from Moelis & Company Joins Nomura
Nomura has welcomed Daniel Muldoon as the new head of equity advisory and private placements for the EMEA region. Based in London, Muldoon will report to Guy Hayward-Cole, Co-Head of EMEA Investment Banking and EMEA Head of Advisory.
With over 16 years of investment banking experience, Muldoon joins Nomura from Moelis & Company, where he specialized in equity advisory across EMEA. His previous roles include various positions within the EMEA equity advisory team at Lazard, as well as involvement in M&A and equity-related transactions at Rothschild.
Muldoon expressed enthusiasm about supporting clients throughout their equity lifecycle, particularly in raising private capital and leveraging Nomura’s robust investor relationships and collaborative advisory approach across regions. He also highlighted Nomura’s leading sustainability-focused advisory team and pledged to contribute to its growth along with other key sectors where Nomura holds a prominent position.
Patrice Maffre, head of investment banking in EMEA, praised Muldoon’s qualifications, emphasizing his role in driving ambitious growth plans for equity and private markets advisory in the region. Maffre underscored Nomura’s commitment to expanding its private placements business in response to increasing global demand for private capital. He attributed the success of Nomura’s private markets endeavors to a combination of sector expertise, regional presence, and strong relationships with global investors.
