Netball NSW Welcomes new CFO Manuel Vlandis
Netball NSW has announced the addition of Manuel Vlandis to their team as the new Chief Financial Officer. Vlandis comes with a proven background spanning diverse industries, including recruitment, broadcast, and sports.
Having served as the Chief Financial Officer of the NRL club, the Sydney Roosters, from 2010 to 2018, Vlandis subsequently held the same pivotal role at Australian Sailing and A-League’s Sydney FC. His extensive career includes senior finance positions with notable entities such as online recruitment firm Monster Worldwide, Swedish broadcast company VIASAT, and global risk management firm International SOS.
Expressing enthusiasm for his venture into netball, Vlandis commended the sport’s remarkable growth across Australia, particularly in New South Wales, where it stands out as a leader for women and young girls in sports. He looks forward to collaborating with both the NSW Swifts and Giants Netball, acknowledging the exceptional talent within their teams. Vlandis aims to contribute not only his financial acumen but also his commitment to fostering a collaborative, positive, and high-performing work environment.
In gratitude for the opportunity, Vlandis thanked Tracey Scott (CEO) and the Netball NSW Board. Tracey Scott expressed confidence in Vlandis, emphasizing his significant contributions to the NSW sporting landscape over almost 15 years. With a clear strategy for supporting and growing the game, particularly in anticipation of the 2027 Netball World Cup in Sydney, Scott emphasized the importance of strong leadership in financial management and executing strategic plans.
