Lithium Universe Appoints John Sobolewski to Serve as CFO

John Sobolewski has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer for Lithium Universe (ASX: LU7). Sobolewski has been actively involved in various phases of Lithium Universe’s Mt Cattlin Spodumene mine and Jiangsu lithium carbonate refinery.

Sobolewski, a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors has held various key roles in the industry. His previous positions include Managing Director and CEO, CFO, and Company Secretary for companies like Mintrex, Galaxy Resources, and Vital Metals (ASX: VML). He also served as Financial Controller and Company Secretary with Croesus Mining and as Group Accountant and Company Secretary with Titan Resources.

The company highlighted that his expertise in financial and debt modeling would be crucial in completing definitive feasibility studies for advancing exploration efforts across both projects.

Expressing his enthusiasm for joining the team, Sobolewski stated that he is thrilled to join a team that has unsurpassed experience in an industry that is critical to the world’s energy transition.

Chair Iggy Tan expressed confidence in Sobolewski’s addition to the team, referring to him as a valuable “asset” to the company’s “lithium dream team.” He highlighted that one of Sobolewski’s initial tasks would be to initiate project financial models for both proposed projects as part of the Québec Lithium Processing Hub.
