Beyond Meat CFO Temporarily Assumes CAO Responsibilities
Beyond Meat’s CFO, Lubi Kutua, has temporarily assumed the role of Chief Accounting Officer, effective January 6, as per an SEC filing by the company. This move follows the departure of Henry Dieu, who is leaving Beyond Meat for another opportunity.
Kutua, aged 42, had taken on the CFO role at Beyond in 2022 when he was promoted from the position of Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis and Investor Relations.
The decision comes amid challenges faced by Beyond Meat and other players in the plant-based meat category, dealing with a slowdown in demand. In response to these challenges, Beyond Meat has recently implemented measures such as workforce reductions and is considering discontinuing certain product lines in the U.S.
