Ken Sharp Becomes EVP and CFO of Peraton as John Kavanaugh Retires

Peraton, a leading national security company, has appointed Ken Sharp as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. He steps into this role succeeding John Kavanaugh, who is retiring from the company. Kavanaugh will continue to support Peraton until December 31, 2023, ensuring a seamless transition.

Reporting to Stu Shea, Chairman, President, and CEO of Peraton, Sharp will hold executive responsibility for overseeing the company’s financial planning, accounting, government reporting, and internal auditing functions, as well as managing external audit and lender relationships.

Sharp, who most recently served as Executive Vice President and CFO at DXC Technology, a global IT services company, led the financial operations and mergers and acquisitions strategies. His extensive experience includes serving as CFO of Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector and holding senior finance leadership roles at Orbital ATK, Leidos, SAIC, and CSC. He began his career at Ernst & Young as an auditor. Sharp holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Maryland and an executive MBA from George Washington University. He is also a U.S. Marine Corps Reserves veteran, having served in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
