Stefan Karlsson is the next CFO of Smartoptics, Effective January 1
Smartoptics Group AS (OSE: SMOP) has appointed Stefan Karlsson as their new Chief Financial Officer, effective from February 1, 2024. Karlsson replaces Michael Haag, who had previously announced his decision to step down. As of the announcement date, Markus Torgersen takes on the CFO role temporarily. Torgersen has been heading the accounting department at Smartoptics since March 2018.
CEO Magnus Grenfeldt expressed enthusiasm about Karlsson joining the Smartoptics team, highlighting his domain expertise and track record.
Stefan Karlsson has held financial leadership roles in various companies such as Trustly and Infinera. Karlsson himself looks forward to contributing to the company’s growth trajectory, emphasizing Smartoptics’ successful technology and market approach in the optical networking industry.
Smartoptics, founded in 2006, specializes in providing optical networking solutions and devices. They serve various sectors, partnering with leading technology companies like Brocade, Cisco, and Dell while operating through a network of over 100 business partners worldwide.
