Who is the new CFO of Axiata Group?

Nik Rizal Kamil Nik Ibrahim Kamil is set to assume the role of Chief Financial Officer at Axiata Group Bhd effective January 1, 2024, taking over from Lila Azmin Abdullah, who has been serving as the Acting Group CFO since March 24, 2024, while concurrently holding the position of Group Chief Corporate Development Officer at Axiata.

With a solid background in business finance, investments, and accounting, Nik Rizal, aged 51, brings a wealth of experience to Axiata. He most recently served as the Group CFO at RHB Bank, a role he held from February 2021. Prior to this, his tenure at Khazanah Nasional as an Executive Director involved leading investment and divestment projects, value creation initiatives, and executing asset-class strategies in telecommunications, media, and technology, both domestically and internationally. During this time, he also held board positions at Telekom Malaysia and Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd.
