MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd has announced that its Chief Financial Officer, Dr. Mazatul ‘Aini Shahar Abdul Malek Shahar, has been placed on garden leave from October 20 to December 15, or until further notice from the board. This temporary leave of absence has been deemed necessary to facilitate an ongoing internal investigation, according to a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Friday. The company further stated that its business operations will continue as usual. Any significant developments on this matter will be communicated through subsequent announcements.
Dr. Mazatul ‘Aini Shahar Abdul Malek Shahar assumed the position of CFO at MSM on December 1, 2022. Before her role as CFO at MSM, she held the position of Independent Non-Executive Director at 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd and TH Heavy Engineering Bhd and served as a member of the audit committee for both companies. Presently, she holds the position of Independent Non-Executive Director at IJN Holdings Sdn Bhd, as indicated on the group’s website.
