Bill Artman is the CEO of Giant Eagle

Giant Eagle has officially appointed Bill Artman as CEO following his interim CEO designation in March. With nearly four decades dedicated to the company, Artman has held various executive leadership positions, including President of Supermarkets, Executive Vice President, and Senior Vice President of Retail Operations.

Over the last five months, Artman’s focus has revolved around placing the customer at the core of the company’s initiatives, as indicated in an official statement. Recent and ongoing endeavors encompass the swift reintroduction of a revamped weekly circular delivered to homes in Pittsburgh and Cleveland, the revival of the Price Lock promotion covering over 1,000 seasonally pertinent products, the launch of Free Coffee Monday at GetGo, impactful seasonal fuel discounts, enriched personalized savings through the myPerks loyalty platform, and the ongoing pilot of a novel Team Member perks and discount program.

Notably, Artman has also overseen the appointment of several executive leaders, including:

Terri Micklin, who has ascended to the role of Executive Vice President and President of GetGo. With over twenty years of expertise in the retail, fuel, and convenience industries, Micklin’s promotion follows her prior position as Senior Vice President of Development and strategy for GetGo.

Jim Tsipakis, RPh. elevated to the position of Executive Vice President and President of Supermarkets and Pharmacy. Formerly the Executive Vice President and President of Giant Eagle Pharmacy, Tsipakis will now lead both the Supermarket and Pharmacy divisions.

Dave Burnworth, promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Previously holding the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, Burnworth’s financial expertise and strategic vision are poised to fortify the company’s financial underpinnings and sustain growth in an ever-evolving market.

Graham Watkins, now serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Supply Chain Officer. Formerly the Executive Vice President of Supply Chain Transformation & Operations, Watkins will retain supply chain and warehouse operations responsibility.

Justin Weinstein, promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer. Formerly the Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, Weinstein will play a key role in shaping Giant Eagle’s corporate and go-to-market strategy.
