Elon Musk Expresses Admiration for the Increasing Number of Indian-origin CEOs
Recently, the CEO of Tesla shared in a tweet that he is eager to visit India in 2024. Numerous executives of Indian origin are currently holding prominent positions within both technology and non-tech companies, and this list continues to expand with each passing day. Billionaire and Tesla’s leader Elon Musk expressed his admiration for this achievement and shared his thoughts on the matter on his platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
He responded to a post by World of Statistics, which showcased an extensive roster of companies led by individuals of Indian origin. Among these, Sundar Pichai heads Alphabet, Satya Nadella, Neal Mohan, and Shantanu Narayen lead Microsoft, YouTube, and Adobe, respectively, while Ajay Banga holds the position of the 14th President of the World Bank Group.
The list also encompasses other companies such as Albertsons, NetApp, Palo Alto Networks, Arista Networks, Novartis, Honeywell, Flex, Wayfair, OnlyFans, Motorola Mobility, and Vimeo.
Not long ago, Tesla’s CEO mentioned in a tweet his anticipation of visiting India in 2024. This statement was made in response to a tweet by DogeDesigner, which featured a photoshopped image of Musk in Indian attire along with the text, “I’m planning to visit India next year.” To this, Musk replied, “I look forward to it.”
It’s worth noting that Musk’s announcement of his intention to visit India followed his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New York in June of this year. When asked if he received an invitation from PM Modi, Musk confirmed, “He did. And yes, I’m tentatively planning to visit India again next year. I’m looking forward.” His plans coincide with Tesla’s ambitions to enter the Indian market and establish a presence in the country.
