Life through Carl Jung’s eyes

Key ''opening'' the human brain

Carl Young was a brilliant scientist who studied the human soul. His career was bright because at the time people had just started thinking that there is more beyond the materialistic world and they had the luxury to focus on their psychological issues. According to Young life is full of surprises as long as you are not aware of how the human brain works. Are you interested in finding out some of his most popular quotes? Let’s have a look.

A few words about what loneliness means

Loneliness does not have to do with how many people are near us. The amount of friends and the size of our social circle does not have to say so much about us. Loneliness is strictly related to our ability to communicate what is important for us with other people. If we can express that and share our feelings the sentiments of loneliness can quickly disappear. In addition, it is vital to be able to find people who do not consider our views inadmissible. In other words, you have to be able to agree with some people up to a certain level. When you have a complete;y attitude towards life it is hard to communicate unless you are madly in love with someone. Love is the only parameter that can make us blind when it comes to mismatch.

The relationship with ourselves

In the meanwhile, it is not only about our relationship with other people and our reflection on them. It is also about the relationship we have with ourselves. In ancient Greece, there was a temple where people would go to ask for their fate. A chosen girl, the so-called Pythia would reveal the future to them. Outside of the temple, there was a label with these few simple words: ”Know yourself.” Even in those years, people could perceive the significance of being in touch with your inner world and considered that as long as this happens you can know how the future will turn out for you. Being aware is the key to understanding everything that happened in the past and everything that will occur in the future as well as the reasons why everything happens after all. Sometimes to avoid facing our souls we are willing to do the most absurd things one could imagine. The more we are moving to the extremes the more we want to avoid the beast hiding within us.

Thinking over judging

Have you ever thought about why we judge? The reason is simple, we just want to avoid thinking. Concentrating on ourselves is not hard. We can wonderfully turn our attention to ourselves as long as we realize that we are not there to judge. The only thing we have to do is to explain, or in other words, understand, and to do that we have to start the thinking process. People are not judgemental only to other people but to themselves as well. Judging is a form of denial. It means that the person is not ready to accept and prefers to deny that there is an explanation for everything and therefore moves on to accusing himself or others of not being enough. Even when we focus on ourselves we can still be judgemental leading to feelings of guilt. To overcome this we have to accept the fact that we will have to be patient and concentrated and take the time to simply think.

What is life really?

Carl Young once said that life really begins at around 40, until then you are just doing research. What an interesting point of view! While we praise curiosity and encourage people to remain kids at least when it comes to their willingness to learn, living is a completely different story. It is not weird that people follow certain careers at certain ages. Being an athlete or a model is something a person will probably do while they are young. However, when it comes to professions that require the wisdom of life people have to get a little older to follow them. For instance, authors are usually people of older ages. Not that it is forbidden to write while you are still young but it is more unlikely to succeed at a younger age. The wisdom that one has to conquer to be able to transfer to other people has not yet been approached at young ages and therefore, the individual does not have a lot to contribute.
