5 best Universities in Denmark for a Brilliant Future

Copenhagen Business School

Danes have developed a world-class education system that attracts students from all over the world. There are many perks of joining the Danish Higher Education network such as no tuition fee for those who come from Switzerland and European Economic Area, mode of instruction in English, thriving lifestyle peculiar to Danes, and top standard academic and research focus duly acknowledged by the international community. Deciding to be a part of a progressive nation such as Denmark would leave a long-standing impression on you and give you a well-rounded personality.

The best way to appreciate the Danish Higher Education System is to know its elite institutions. There are a bunch of universities here which have left a mark on global education and are regarded as hallmarks of European education. I have enumerated 5 of these universities which are ranked among the finest and make up for good options for international studies.

  1. University of Copenhagen
The University of Copenhagen is one of the oldest educational institutions in Scandinavia, having been founded more than 500 years ago. It is a public research university best known for its courses on humanities and social sciences. Its faculties are 6 in number: Faculty of Law, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Faculty of Theology, and Faculty of Social Sciences. Under these faculties operate nearly 100 departments and research centres. Scholarship contribution of this university is reflected in the many schools of thought which have emerged from here such as Copenhagen Interpretation of quantum mechanics. Its alumni base includes a total of 39 Nobel Laureates.
  2. Aarhus University
The largest university in Denmark is Aarhus University which operates as a public research university. Having been founded in the year 1928, the university has grown into an international institution catering to 5 broad fields of study including Technical Sciences, Health and Business, Arts, and Natural Sciences. It also actively encourages the development of scientific temper through projects conducted in its many critically acclaimed research centres. The university is most notable for its business school which is among the select few to be accorded Triple Crown accreditation.  Over here, there is also a job bank or placement cell that assists graduates to secure jobs in their respective fields.
  3. Technical University of Denmark
The Technical University of Denmark is a leading European institution which incidentally is also the country’s first-ever polytechnic institution. It was founded in the year 1829 and has climbed up charts in terms of courses provided in engineering and allied courses. There are a variety of departments operational under its aegis offering courses in Chemistry, Technology Entrepreneurship, Physics, Photonics Engineering, and Civil Engineering. In addition, there are many research centres such as the Arctic Technology Centre, Centre for Electric Power and Energy, Centre for Advanced Food Studies, Combustion and Harmful Emission Control, and IMM Statistical Consulting Centre. The university is an esteemed member of Eurotech Universities.
  4. Copenhagen Business School
Anyone of our readers who is interested in business studies and is determined to join the best out there should read up about Copenhagen Business School. This public university was founded in the year 1917 and has now become one of the most sought-after universities among business students. Its interdisciplinary approach towards the conduct of its academic programs has made it a favourite in the international community. This is reflected in the fact it is one of the few to have received Triple Crown accreditation. Its courses include Business Administration and Philosophy, Economics and Business Administration, and International Business. Note that not all courses are taught in English here.
  5. Aalborg University
I shall be concluding with Aalborg University, a distinguished public university that was established in the year 1974. Its comprehensive academic structure caters to a wide range of courses including those in Humanities, Information Technology and Design, Social Sciences, Engineering and Science, and Medicine. Ensuring that the university continues contributing research, it has established many centres of which quite a few are situated abroad. Of all the things, it is most notable for its research activities in the field of health technology and wireless communication. Moreover, the university is a member of the reputed European Consortium of Innovative University.
