The Best Hotels In Gloucestershire (England) For Business Travelers, 2020

Gloucestershire is a quiet county in the United Kingdom that is an assured bonus to your traveling experience in case you decide to come here. It is a place of antiquities, flourishing economy, vibrant culture and lifestyle, and natural inheritance. From the picturesque Leadon river to the popular abbey church of Tewkesbury, there is almost everything one could ask for a postcard-perfect, memorable vacation. And, while I already have your attention, there are good places to stay here as well, which make Gloucestershire all the more attractive.

Admittedly, finding a good accommodation is often a tedious job. Even if you are in a mainstream touristy place, there is no cent percent guarantee that you can necessarily get the perfect match. Therefore, I have decided to give you a head-start so that you know what good options of accommodation you have in Gloucestershire and can then conveniently narrow down to the one which you think is what you are looking for.

  1. The Close B&B
Address: Well Hill, Minchinhampton, Stroud GL6 9JE, United Kingdom
A homely retreat in the charming town of Cotswold, The Close B&B is a pleasant accommodation facility that serves you just the right things you need. This 18th-century building-now-turned-into-a-hotel houses comfortable rooms that are furnished with lavish beddings and high-quality furniture. The bathrooms are roomy, clean and equipped with toiletries. Full English breakfast is served in the dining room. Note that vegetarian options are also available. Also, there is a free private parking facility and internet connectivity.
  2. Thyme
Address: Nr, Lechlade GL7 3PW, United Kingdom
Thyme is set in a popular area of Gloucestershire and is known for its superior quality food, peaceful atmosphere, and friendly staff. As a guest here, you will be accommodated in any of the 31 rooms all of which carry an individual sense and come with amenities such as coffee makers, plush curtains, comfortable linen, walk-in showers in bathrooms, and handmade soaps. As noted above, the place is known for its food. At Ox Barn, you get served exceptionally delicious dishes including seasonal delights. The Breakfast is prepared from home-produced materials and includes eggs and jams. There is also a tennis court, spa and pool here.
  3. Barnsley House
Address: Barnsley, Cirencester GL7 5EE, United Kingdom
Operating from a 17th-century manor house set in a beautiful quiet namesake village, Barnsley House gives you a countryside environment away from the regularity of city life. Despite its rural location, it is reasonably well-connected to the main centers of the county and the cities such as London. All the rooms are painted in brown, grey and cream and showcase artworks. The in-room facilities cover coffee makers, outside views, spacious bathrooms, and quality furnishings. There is a dining facility called The Potager that is pleasant in the atmosphere and fabulous in its servings. A spa facility operates here that has many amazing treatment programs including an outdoor hydrotherapy pool.
  4. Tudor Farmhouse
Address: High St, Clearwell, Coleford GL16 8JS, United Kingdom
Tudor Farmhouse is a handsome accommodation facility that functions from an erstwhile farm building in the village of Clearwell. It is not a mega facility with a plethora of services to offer, but its limited offerings are exemplary and enough for a cozy stay. A total of 20 rooms are available here, each of which varies in sizes and designs. However, all of them are lavishly appointed with tiled bathrooms, soft color schemes, toiletries, iron boards, televisions, and fresh milk. Food is of excellent character and is handled by the able hands and professional expertise of Head Chef Rob Cox. Make sure to try out Gloucester Old Spot Pork Belly. In addition, there is a complimentary internet connection.
  5. Ellenborough Park
Address: Southam Ln, Cheltenham GL52 3NJ, United Kingdom
Ellenborough Park is everything you could call rich and beautiful. The reception area is magnificent, the surrounding grounds are generously large, and the staff is talented and super-nice, the food is high-class and mood-setting, and the rooms envelop you in a world of comfort. Let me emphasize more on the rooms and the food. The rooms embody the general tone of the building and come fitted with Hypnos beddings and coffee makers. The bathrooms are marble-clad and provided with aromatic toiletries. Food is served at the Horse Box Bar and the main restaurant. While you are here, make sure you take a sip of the facility’s own gin.
  6. Calcot & Spa
Address: Calcot & Spa, Tetbury GL8 8YJ, United Kingdom
With a long list of services, Calcot & Spa promises a fulfilling stay to its guests. There is an elegant dining facility called the Conservatory Restaurant that prepares and serves local flavors. The rooms are painted in soft colors and come with a radio with iPod dock, comfortable beddings, excellent lighting, and bathrooms with fragrance-laced toiletries. Other things to take note of include tennis court, sauna, spa facility, fitness center, children’s club and steam room. The facility also organizes special events such as workshops which can keep you occupied in your spare time.
  7. The Painswick
Address: Kemps Ln, Painswick, Stroud GL6 6YB, United Kingdom
A stylish facility offering services from an 18th-century property is what The Painswick is. Its rooms have been decked out in subtle tones of grey and purple and come equipped with luxurious bathrooms with environment-friendly toiletries, digital radios, coffee machines, cozy beddings, and outside views. The dining facility maintains a small but satisfying menu and serves local cuisine mainly. The Breakfast is a generous spread of juices, pastries, cheese and yogurts. Complimentary internet connectivity is offered throughout the property. Also, there are bikes for hire and 2 treatment rooms.
  8. Snowshill Hill Estate B&B
Address: Snowshill Hill, Moreton-in-Marsh GL56 9TH, United Kingdom
Set in the hilly landscape of northern Cotswolds, Snowshill Hill Estate is a wonderful Bed & Breakfast facility. There are 3 rooms all of which give off a charming vibe. They are equipped with mullion windows, printed plush curtains, spacious bathrooms with showers, and a quiet atmosphere. The breakfast is quite the spread and all the ingredients are locally produced. There is a small kitchen which can be used for preparing meals whenever you want. In case you want more culinary choices, there are quite a number of options nearby. Complimentary internet connectivity is provided.
  9. Cowley Manor
Address: Cowley, Cheltenham GL53 9NL, United Kingdom
Located close to Cheltenham, the hotel offers you a countryside vibe without compromising with accessibility. You should know that Cowley manor is one of the country’s first luxury rural hotels with a spa. There are 31 rooms of varying sizes and services. Each of these, however, comes appointed with a desk, an easy chair, king-sized beds, coffee makers, a Bluetooth Speaker, well-stocked bathrooms with aromatic toiletries and a bright color scheme. A restaurant by the name Elegant Malt serves brasserie dishes, but there is not much variety to explore so far as its menu is concerned. Other services here include a steam room, swimming pools, and a fitness centre.
  10. Tewkesbury Park
Address: Lincoln Green Ln, Tewkesbury GL20 7DN, United Kingdom
Tewkesbury Park is an 18th-century property which has been refurbished to provide you modern-day hospitality without losing touch with its past glory. Much is to be explored here, from an expansive golf course, fitness center to swimming pool and tennis courts. There are 85 rooms and 9 suites all decorated in soft tones of grey, brown and cream. The accommodation will come equipped with televisions, Hypnos beds, Egyptian cotton linen, desks, and compact bathrooms with showers. All the food served in the dining facility has been prepared using local ingredients and includes local specialties such as Gloucester Old Spot pork.
