The World’s Most And Least Prosperous Countries, 2019
Denmark is the most prosperous country in the world, according to a report released by the Legatum Institute think tank, followed by Norway, Switzerland, Sweden, and Finland.
The Netherlands was ranked in the sixth position followed by SNew Zealand, Germany, Luxembourg, and Iceland in the tenth position. While the United Kingdom ranked 11th, Ireland 12th, Austria 13th, Canada 14th, Hong Kong 15th, with Singapore and Australia taking the next two spots, the United States down in 18th.

In analyzing the performance of the 167 countries more than 100 “experts” looked at “12 pillars”, comprising 65 different elements, measured by 294 indicators, using publicly available data. The index assessed how well 167 countries promote the economic and social well-being of their residents in three domains: inclusive societies, open economies and empowered people.
