CNBC’s 2018 Ranking Of America’s Top States For Business
When it comes to business, the state of Texas ranked No.1 in the U.S., according to CNBC’s top states for business rankings for 2018. You did it, y’all.
Since the study began in 2017, Texas has never fallen out of the top 5. Washington was second in the overall business rankings, up from 6th a year ago, followed by Utah, Virginia, and Colorado.
The study rated each state in 10 categories of competitiveness including cost of doing business; business friendliness; access to capital; cost of living; education; economy; technology and innovation; quality of life; infrastructure; and workforce. Texas was among the top 20 for 8 of the categories.
