These Are the 20 US States With The Lowest Rates Of Divorce, 2017

It’s interesting to note, Massachusetts has the lowest divorce rate in the United States as 12.3 per 1,000 married couples got divorced in 2016, according to data from the 24/7 Wall St, while Hawaii and New Jersey placed second and third, respectively.

Looking for a long-lasting marriage?

Couples in these three states (Massachusetts, Hawaii, and New Jersey) are least likely to get divorced.

The 2017 rankings placed New York in 4th ahead of Minnesota into 5th; while South Dakota ranked 6th, and Vermont 7th.

Overall, among the 20 US states with the lowest rates of divorce, the 8th, 9th, and 10th positions are held by the Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

Tennessee took the No. 11 spot, followed by the West Virginia (No. 12) and Montana (No. 13). Meanwhile, Wyoming ranked No. 14 in the US states with the lowest rates of divorce ranking 2017.

Indiana came in fifteenth place, followed by Oklahoma (sixteenth), Louisiana (seventeenth), Nevada (eighteenth), and Idaho, ranked nineteenth. Out of 20 with the lowest rates of divorce, Arkansas ranked twentieth.
