These are the 20 countries that sent the most tourists to the United States in 2016

Tourists from these 20 countries account for more than 87 percent of the 75 million record tourists that visited the United States in 2016. In fact, the U.S. travel & tourism industry contributed over $1.5 trillion in 2016, while supporting 7.6 million U.S. jobs.

But from where do tourists come to the US?

Canada, sends the most tourists to the United States almost every year. In 2016, according to the statistics, 19.30 million Canadians visited the U.S. for touristic reasons.

The neighbouring Mexicans also chose U.S for their travels and holidays, resulting in 18.73 million Mexican tourists in the States in 2016, 1.9% higher than the year before.

The Brits were also quite attracted by the sights in the States in the year 2016, judging by the fact that 4.57 million of them visited the US in 2016.
