Best Universities In Europe, Oxford And Cambridge Tops 2017 European Rankings

University of Oxford

The University of Oxford has been ranked the top institution of its kind in Europe and 6th in the world by U.S. News and World 2017 Report, while the University of Cambridge ranked second among Europe’s best universities.

The top five universities in Europe were: University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, University College London, and Switzerland’s Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich .

The United Kingdom dominated the top of the rankings for Europe, with 6 institutions being ranked in the top 10 universities in Europe, 2017 rankings. Global list of best universities for 2017 was “dominated” by US universities, but both Oxford and Cambridge made it into the top ten.

Overall, in the top 1,000 list, the US contributed 210 universities, ahead of 87 from China, 68 from the UK, 55 from Germany and 49 from France.
