Top 15 Most Visited Businesses In The US Based On Foot Traffic

Amazingly, Americans go to McDonald’s, Starbucks, Subway, and Target more frequently than Post Office or a bank, according to a new ranking of the 100 most visited businesses compiled by mobile Seattle-based location analytics startup Placed.

Walmart is the #1 ranked business in America for visitors and foot traffic. McDonald’s ranked No. 2 on the list higher than competitor Subway, which was No. 3). World’s largest coffeehouse company Starbucks was No. 4 on the list, based on its customer tracking data.

The database reflects how many visitors frequent to each businesses, what other businesses customers are likely to go to, also gives insights into purchases and what apps customers use.

For example, Target, which is ranked No. 6 on the top 100 list, has customers that are also likely to go to Michaels, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ross, PetSmart, Marshall’s. Target customers are likely to have CVS Pharmacy, Dunkin’ Donuts, Coupons.com, Foursquare, Waze apps on their phones.
