Roseburg Forest Products Announces Stuart Gray as President and CEO

Roseburg Forest Products

Roseburg Forest Products has officially welcomed Stuart Gray as the President and CEO, effective from October 1st, marking the completion of a leadership transition initially announced in July of this year. Grady Mulberry, who held the top leadership position at the company for the past seven years, retired on September 30th.

Stuart Gray expressed his humility and honor in becoming the fourth President and CEO in Roseburg’s 87-year history. He also conveyed his excitement about leading Roseburg’s strategic growth in the future. Gray acknowledged Grady’s leadership in advancing the company, making it more mature, modern, and competitive. He looks forward to guiding the team to build on their values-driven culture and strategic strengths, further enhancing their capabilities.

Rebecca Taylor, Corporate Communications Director, explained that earlier this year, Roseburg’s board of directors unanimously approved Gray’s appointment as part of a planned succession, aligning with Mulberry’s retirement. As part of this transition, Grady Mulberry will continue to serve on Roseburg’s board of directors until the end of 2023 and act as an executive advisor through 2024.

Allyn Ford, Roseburg’s owner and Chairman of the Board, expressed confidence in Stuart Gray’s leadership, emphasizing his proven abilities and deep understanding of the company’s legacy, values, and strategic goals. Ford anticipates a successful future under Stuart’s leadership.

Rebecca Taylor also noted that Stuart Gray joined Roseburg six years ago and served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the manufacturing business starting in January 2022. Prior to his role at Roseburg, Gray gained valuable experience in the construction and building supply industry, holding various positions in business and legal roles. His previous experience included a 12-year tenure at The Home Depot, two years at Sears Holding Corporation, and several years in the construction legal field.
