Cellnex Selects Raimon Trias from Natra for the role of CFO

Cellnex, an independent wireless telecommunications and broadcasting infrastructures operator, has appointed Raimon Trias as the new Chief Financial Officer of the Group. Trias will also join Cellnex’s Executive Committee and will assume the role on December 1, succeeding José Manuel Aisa, who is set to leave the group as previously announced on October 31.

Cellnex is listed on the continuous market of the Spanish stock exchange, part of the selective IBEX 35 and EuroStoxx 100 indices. The company manages a portfolio of approximately 135,000 sites across various European countries, with plans for expansion up to 2030.

Raimon Trias comes to Cellnex from Natra Group, where he served as CFO. With over two decades of experience in various industrial groups, including Natra, Grupo Nueva Pescanova, and Celsa, he has worked in Spain, Poland, and the United Kingdom. Trias holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Barcelona and has undergone senior management training at IESE.

Raimon Trias expressed his excitement about joining Cellnex, a European leader in operating telecommunications infrastructure and one of the prominent companies on the IBEX35 index. He highlighted the company’s impressive growth since its IPO in 2015 and its commitment to further consolidate and fully integrate its operations, aiming to drive organic growth, create value, strengthen the balance sheet, and attain an investment-grade rating, all in line with the commitment to shareholders.

Cellnex CEO Marco Patuano commented on the appointment, stating, “Raimon has an extensive experience of more than 20 years working in large, international industrial groups, either for private equity-backed companies, family groups, or with financial entities as shareholders. He has strong and qualified experience in finance, including M&A projects, debt and balance sheet management, changes in the shareholding structure, investor relations, as well as planning, cost, and efficiency programs. Beyond finance, I would like to highlight his operational experience –as Managing Director as well– at different stages of his career. His exceptional managerial skills include a proven ability to lead multi-cultural teams and work together with operations and business units.”
