Brazil’s Embraer building business jet assembly facility at Melbourne, Florida for Phenom 100

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica, S. A. (Embraer) is building a 150,000-square foot business jet assembly facility at Melbourne International Airport in Florida. And with a range of over 1300 nm, you can travel directly from Los Angeles to Denver on a private charter jet or Chicago to New York .

The facility, which will include a customer showroom, a state-of-the-art aircraft paint shop and administrative offices, is expected to be completed by March, with the first aircraft ready for delivery before the end of 2011. Embraer also plans to hire about 200 employees to eventually manufacture its nine-passenger Phenom 300 jets in Melbourne, Florida.
