Aviva Investors Names Sandra Cheng CEO of Asia Pacific and Head of Distribution

Aviva Investors has announced the appointment of Sandra Cheng as CEO of Asia Pacific and head of distribution for the region. Cheng, who will be based in Singapore, will report to Jill Barber, the company’s chief distribution officer.

Cheng joins Aviva Investors from Columbia Threadneedle, where she held the roles of CEO for Singapore and head of institutional business for Southeast Asia. Her career also includes previous positions at Deutsche Asset Management, HSBC Investments, and Wellington International Management.

In a statement, Barber expressed her enthusiasm for Cheng’s appointment, noting that Cheng’s extensive experience in managing client relationships in Asia, coupled with her deep understanding of the region’s investment landscape, would be a tremendous asset. Barber also highlighted Cheng’s proven success in expanding business across both public and private markets and expressed confidence that Cheng would play a key role in driving Aviva Investors’ ambitious growth plans for the Asia Pacific region.

Cheng, on her part, remarked that she was eager to join the Aviva Investors team. She conveyed her belief that the company’s strong platform, combining both public and private offerings along with its commitment to positive change and collaboration, would enable them to provide innovative and comprehensive solutions for their clients.
