Ogilvy Promotes Fiona Gordon to Global CEO of Advertising
Ogilvy has promoted Fiona Gordon to the position of Global CEO of Advertising, where she will report directly to Devika Bulchandani, the Global CEO of Ogilvy. In her new role, Gordon will be responsible for ensuring that the agency’s advertising, brand, and content capabilities continue to evolve and adapt to the changing market landscape. She will also join Ogilvy’s Global Executive Committee.
Before this promotion, Gordon served as CEO of Ogilvy UK since 2021, during which time the agency was ranked as the number one creative agency in the UK on WARC’s 2024 Creative 100 list.
Bulchandani described Gordon as a proven advocate for creativity and a trusted partner to many of Ogilvy’s top clients, praising her commitment to maintaining the founder culture that distinguishes Ogilvy. She highlighted Gordon’s ability to lead with both intellect and empathy, inspiring those around her through her vision and strong belief in the talent she collaborates with. Bulchandani expressed excitement that Ogilvy’s global network would now benefit from Gordon’s leadership as she steps into her new role.
Gordon has held various leadership positions across EMEA, Asia, and the US during her tenure at Ogilvy, which began when she joined the agency as a graduate trainee in the 1990s.
Reflecting on her new role, Gordon expressed enthusiasm for the limitless potential of creativity to drive business success and make a lasting cultural impact. She looked forward to working closely with Devika Bulchandani, Liz Taylor, and Ogilvy’s Worldwide Creative Council to harness the agency’s collective creative talent to deliver impactful work for clients in a constantly evolving landscape.
Gordon’s promotion coincided with WPP’s announcement that it had acquired New Commercial Arts (NCA), a leading independent creative and customer experience agency.
