With a Net Worth of $15,2 Billion, Philip Anschutz is the Wealthiest Individual in Colorado
Over the past five decades, Philip Anschutz has amassed significant wealth through ventures in oil, railroads, telecommunications, real estate, and entertainment, which currently reaches an estimated $15,2 billion. He is the majority owner of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings and holds a stake in the MLS’s Los Angeles Galaxy. Additionally, he owns the Crypto.com Arena, home to the Kings.
Anschutz is 84 years old, married, and has three children. He holds a Bachelor of Arts/Science degree from the University of Kansas and is a resident of Denver, Colorado. From a young age, Anschutz demonstrated his business skills. At just six years old, he sold Kool-Aid on a nearby college campus using a stand he constructed himself.
Anschutz’s entertainment empire, the Anschutz Entertainment Group, includes ownership, operation, or affiliation with 350 arenas and concert venues worldwide. Expanding his influence into renewable energy, Anschutz is developing one of the world’s largest wind farms on 320,000 acres in Wyoming.
Anschutz also owns two luxury resorts: the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs and Sea Island in Georgia. His contributions to the arts are notable, including the donation of 400 masterpieces by artists such as Frederic Remington to establish the American Museum of Western Art in Denver in 2010.
