Leaders of the Future: Who Won the Global Student Entrepreneur Award Nepal?

Tilak Prasad Dhital, the Chief Financial Officer of MeroSiksha, an innovative digital learning platform, has been honored with this year’s prestigious Global Student Entrepreneur Award Nepal.

Accompanying Dhital in this recognition was Navin Timilsina, the Founder and CEO of Master Sab, who claimed the runner-up position. Additionally, Arjun Ghimire, the Founder of Dlupload and Co-founder of College Tiffin, secured the title of first runner-up. Dhital was awarded Rs 200,000, while Timilsina received Rs 50,000, and Ghimire was granted Rs 25,000.

The national winners will progress to India for the regional finals, offering them the opportunity to vie for representation at the global level. Tarun Pratap Shah, Chairperson for GSEA 2023-24 and Managing Director of DV Group of Companies expressed his enthusiasm for their participation, highlighting the potential for the eventual winner to secure a cash prize of $50,000 in the final competition.

The awards ceremony, held in the capital, brought together esteemed personalities and aspiring entrepreneurs. The distinguished panel of judges included Ayush Nepal, an accomplished entrepreneur and the current President of the Entrepreneur Organization, Yazma Rajbhandary, CEO and Principal Architect at Kalap Architects Pvt. Ltd, and Moushumi Shrestha, Honorary Consul General of Sweden in Nepal and Executive Director at Shreenagar Agro Group.

The event witnessed the participation of 14 student entrepreneurs from across Nepal, with the top six finalists emerging after a rigorous selection process. These finalists represent the future of business in Nepal and include Anjana Malla, Co-founder & CEO of Deego Nepal; Tilak Prasad Dhital, Chief Financial Officer of MeroSiksha; Pralisha Adhikari, Founder of Towerganics Nepal; Bibek Dhakal, Co-Founder and CEO of College Tiffin; Navin Timilsena, Founder and CEO of Master Sab; and Arjun Ghimire, Founder of Dlupload and Co-founder of College Tiffin.
