Sunil Sharma has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer for RGA Life Reinsurance Company of Canada India Branch (RGA India) by Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (RGA). This designation awaits approval from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.
With a career spanning over 30 years, Sharma has held leadership roles in insurance and reinsurance businesses across diverse global markets, including India, the US, the UK, and Southeast Asia. Prior to joining RGA, he played pivotal roles at Kotak Life for more than a decade, culminating in his position as President, Chief Actuary, and Chief Risk Officer. Sharma, currently serves as a council member of the IFoA.
Expressing optimism about the appointment, Arthur Ozeki, the Executive Vice President and Head of Asia Pacific at RGA, highlighted Sunil’s extensive experience in global insurance and reinsurance management. Ozeki anticipates Sunil’s valuable contributions in fortifying market presence and fostering sustainable growth for RGA India.
