Thomas Corley Succeeds Current President and CEO of Community Coffee, David Belanger
Community Coffee has announced the election of Thomas “Tom” Corley as the incoming President and CEO, effective January 15, 2024, marking a planned transition in leadership. Corley will succeed David Belanger, who, after a 25-year career with the Company and 12 years as CEO, announced his retirement last July.
Corley initiated his career as a Sales Representative at General Foods, Inc. in Alexandria, Minnesota, accumulating over 30 years of experience and overseeing $18 billion in revenue as the President of Sales and Foodservice. His subsequent roles encompassed executive positions directing sales and marketing teams, and more recently, he served as a board member and commercial advisor for various consumer packaged goods companies.
Chairman of the Board, Matt Saurage, expressed satisfaction with Corley’s election. At the same time, relocating to Baton Rouge, Corley conveyed his gratitude and humility.
To ensure a seamless transition, Belanger will continue his association with Community Coffee as an Advisor and Board Member until his retirement in June 2024, as previously outlined.
Community Coffee Company, founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and established in 1919, holds the position as the nation’s leading family-owned premium retail coffee brand.
