Jinko Solar: Revolutionizing Solar Energy With Eagle Modules and Eagle Storage
Jinko Solar is a leader in solar module manufacturing and is developing high-capacity energy storage solutions to make the ever-increasing amount of solar power a more dispatchable asset. Jinko Solar has factories all around the world, including in Malaysia, Vietnam, and the U.S.
Jinko Solar’s Eagle solar modules are on the cutting edge and designed to meet rising solar energy needs. Globally, Jinko Solar has achieved a remarkable milestone of shipping more than 165 gigawatts of solar modules — the company was the first to ship 100 gigawatts, 150 gigawatts, and 165 gigawatts. Jinko Solar’s Eagle storage solutions use high-performing and safe LFP battery technology in proprietary designs.
Models for both solar and energy storage are available for residential, commercial and industriaI, and utility sectors.
Eagle G5b
The Eagle G5b Series is Jinko Solar’s hail-resistant solar module. It features a DuPont Tedlar-based clear backsheet, allowing for thicker 3.2mm frontside tempered glass and best-in-class durability against hail. With a large percentage of solar installations happening in “hail alley” in the U.S., having access to a solar module designed to withstand these violent storms is paramount for utility-scale developers.
Eagle G6B and G6R
The Eagle G6 Series is Jinko Solar’s new flagship solar module line. It features the latest N-type TOPCon technology, with world record-breaking solar efficiencies. Coming in both 72-cell dual glass (G6B) and 54-cell all-black (G6R) constructions, the line is well suited for the most demanding applications in all sectors.
Eagle CS, DCB-344, and DCB-3440
For the C&I and utility sectors, the Eagle CS is a comprehensive energy storage solution platform. Jinko Solar can offer turnkey AC Blocks, including PCS, DC Battery Blocks, and energy management software, or stand-alone DC Blocks for integrators or developers to use in their own AC Block constructions.
The Eagle CS additionally features enhanced fire suppression and cooling mechanisms that maximize performance even at peak times. The use of lithium iron phosphate battery chemistry makes the system inherently safer, and the Eagle CS’ safety is further bolstered by robust sensors and redundant fire suppression. The system is certified to UL9540A and NFPA855 standards to mitigate concerns about thermal runaway risks.
With the ability to discharge energy up to four hours, the highly adaptable and scalable Eagle CS aligns with the diverse requirements of large C&I and utility-scale projects.
Eagle RS
For the residential sector, Eagle RS is a fully integrated energy storage system for the home. Like the Eagle CS, it uses safe lithium iron phosphate battery chemistry. It’s outdoor rated, stackable, and offers fast, same-day commissioning for installers. The system comes with an advanced monitoring app, so installers and homeowners can monitor the performance of the solar and energy storage systems.
Why Are Eagle Products Needed?
The increasing rise in demand for electricity capacity has led green energy — and specifically solar energy — to grow significantly. The rise in solar energy also necessitates energy storage solutions to make solar a more flexible power source. Storage needs to grow since the sun isn’t shining all the time. Consumers and businesses need power on cloudy days and at night, too.
At the same time, the space homeowners, businesses, and utilities have available isn’t increasing. That’s why solar and storage solutions must be able to perform in a compact area — and that’s precisely what Jinko Solar’s high-efficiency and energy-dense Eagle products are designed to do.
Awards
Within the residential market, Jinko Solar’s Eagle Encore Residential Solar and Storage platform has received the title of Green Builder Media’s 2023 Sustainable Product of the Year.
This accolade is a part of Green Builder’s annual tradition of honoring innovative homebuilding products that exemplify excellence in sustainability, resiliency, and responsible manufacturing. The publication is one of the most respected in environmentally friendly construction, and the Sustainable Product of the Year is its top award within the energy management category.
Jinko Solar also routinely tests as Top Performers in PV Evolution Lab’s annual Product Qualification Program (9 years in a row) and High Achievers in Renewable Energy Test Center’s annual PV Module Index report (4 years in a row). These are the tests utility customers and financing companies read to determine which products are best for their projects.
Nonprofit Partnership
One of Jinko Solar’s many successful projects is a collaboration with Twende Solar. Jinko Solar donated 17 kilowatts of solar panels to Twende Solar, a nonprofit championing poverty elimination, economic improvement, and ecosystem protection.
In a cross-cultural exchange in April 2023, Twende Solar orchestrated a training session for Ethiopian workers who wanted to install a solar system for a local school. The 17 kilowatts of panels were sent to the trainees’ home community.
Jinko Solar also used the cross-cultural training opportunity to install 16 panels on the Commons Building of Dignity Village in Portland, Oregon.
Jinko Solar is leading the solar and energy storage sector in virtually every way. Its innovation has been recognized, its shipments are breaking records, and the company is actively working with philanthropic organizations locally and abroad.
