The Chief Financial Officer of Skipton Group will step down after dedicating two decades to the organization. Bobby Ndawula, who joined Skipton in 2003, has ascended through various roles to become the group’s CFO.
Looking ahead, Haire introduced Paul Chambers, who is set to join the group from Standard Chartered Group. Chambers, currently serving as the financial controller, has a wealth of experience as CFO of Europe and America within the group.
Ndawula holds positions on the board of Connells, an estate agency and property services provider within the group, and chairs Skipton International, a Guernsey-based institution offering not only traditional banking services but also mortgages on UK buy-to-let properties for expatriates and overseas residents.
Stuart Haire, the Skipton Group Chief Executive, commended Ndawula’s exceptional financial stewardship, emphasizing his commitment to the customer-centric purpose of the organization. Haire acknowledged Ndawula’s departure with appreciation and wished him success in his future endeavors.
Reflecting on his time at Skipton, Ndawula expressed gratitude and noted the satisfaction of working on significant strategic initiatives alongside the new CEO over the past year. He believes it’s an appropriate moment to transition and explore new opportunities while leaving the business in capable hands. Ndawula highlighted Skipton’s potential to significantly impact people’s lives by providing housing solutions and fostering a culture of financial savings within a powerful Group.
Haire expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming chapter for Skipton, indicating that attracting top talent signifies their impact. The organization is eagerly anticipating Chambers’ contribution to this new phase of their collective journey.
Haire praised Chambers’ extensive financial expertise, highlighting his knowledge of mortgage and advisory markets, as well as his familiarity with the group’s story, financial strength, and potential to revolutionize the UK housing and financial services sectors.
