Hajime Fujita Becomes CEO at Daiya Foods
Daiya Foods has appointed Hajime Fujita as its new Chief Executive Officer. In this role, Mr. Hajime Fujita will be responsible for overseeing global operations across North America, spearheading the brand’s international expansion efforts,” the company announced.
Mr. Fujita joins Daiya from Otsuka Pharmaceuticals, the parent company, where he previously served as Vice President. Notably, he played a pivotal role in Otsuka’s acquisition of Daiya in 2017. During his tenure from 2018 to 2021, he held the position of Director at Daiya and also served as a vice president on Daiya’s board at Otsuka America. Before joining Daiya, Mr. Fujita held the position of vice president of sales at Sanyo Manufacturing Corp.
Additionally, within Daiya Foods, Melanie Domer has been promoted from Chief Marketing Officer to Chief Commercial Officer, assuming responsibility for both marketing and sales. Prior to joining Daiya, Ms. Domer held various leadership roles at SC Johnson. Her extensive experience includes positions at Wrigley, General Mills, and Procter & Gamble.
Moreover, John Kelly is stepping into the role of Chief Marketing Officer after serving as vice president of consumer marketing.
