The Most Common & Luxury Superyacht’s Toys

It is a fact that in recent years the “toy boxes” on luxury yachts have become increasingly varied and exotic. Whether your preference is for the speed of a Jetski or the more sedate pleasure of snorkeling among tropical fish, there is a water toy to delight every guest.

  1. SEABOB F5 SR With Camera: The SEABOB F5 SR is the most powerful unit offered by the company. Its system gives a strong propulsive force and is controlled by 7 power levels. Your guests can glide through the water at a casual speed in low gear or zip through the water in high gear at fast speed. The SEABOB also offers up a super cool Cam system with two integrated full-HD cameras including one selfie cam and one in the bow. The 77 lb. unit also features a built-in storage system and a Wi-Fi transmission module.
  2. Mako Slingshot Jetboard: The Mako Slingshot is a carbon fiber Jetboard powered by a 2-stroke engine that provides a top speed of 30 mph on the water. Thrill-seekers are loving electric-powered wakeboards but the Slingshot relies on extreme jet power for speed and the rider controls the throttle using a handheld remote. Its unique hydrodynamics allows for exact handling and it’s perfect for the superyacht since it is compact at 72 inches long and lightweight at 42 lbs. A full tank gives your guests 40 minutes of ride time at full throttle, and it will support anyone up to 220 pounds.
  3. Manta5 Hydrofoiler XE-1: The Manta5 Hydrofoiler XE-1 is a pedal-assist electric hydrofoil bike mixing pedaling with electronic power similar to e-bikes, but the Manta5 pedals spin a propeller, not a wheel. The rear-mounted propeller moves the bike forward and utilizes its submerged hydrofoil wings. The wings where wheels would be on a bicycle, helping disperse the rider’s weight and keeping them on the surface. As the rider pedals forward, they work like wings, reducing drag and pushing the bike up out of the water.  A full charge yields one hour of runtime for a 190-pound rider.
  4. Sea-Doo Spark Trixx: One for the daredevils, Sea-Doo’s Spark Trixx has been designed to make impressive Jet Ski stunts easier and more fun than ever. A handlebar with adjustable riser allows you to customize the watercraft to your riding style while step wedges provide greater stability and control for stand-up riding and a variable trim system exaggerates how high you can raise the nose or how deep you can bury it making your tricks look better than ever. Powered by a Rotax 900 H0 ACE engine, the Spark Trixx also has an intelligent brake and reverse system and Sport and Touring acceleration modes so you get the perfect ride every time.
  5. Gocycle GS Electric Bike: Originally launched on Kickstarter, the GS is an entry-level folding electric bike that compliments the luxe G3 model that was previously released. The lightweight design comes in a wide range of color combinations. It has torque-sensing, direct mechanical shifting, and an oversized handlebar. The GS is also compatible with the GocycleConnect App, which provides custom driving modes as well as health stats for the calorie-conscious and also features maximum and average pedal power. This is the perfect item for your yacht crew, and I have seen it used on many superyachts in my travels. Weighing just 35 lbs, there are no cables, chains or gears and can be stowed inside a crew member’s cabin.
  6. Adjustable Yacht Slide: Some yachts have inflatable versions of a water slide, allowing guests to zip from an upper deck into the water. There are even charter versions of zip lines, which take guests from the top deck to a splashdown far from the yacht.
  7. Scuba Diving Equipment: If you have experience and the appropriate certificates many yachts have a full complement of scuba diving gear aboard. Others may offer rendezvous diving, where a local scuba company meets with the yacht and leads guests on an underwater adventure.
  8. Wakeboard sand water-skis: Whether you are an experienced water-skier or an absolute novice, charter yachts often have tenders that are perfect for everything from carving a slalom on glassy water to helping you get on your feet for the first time.

  9. Mini Submarines: These are fully equipped submarines designed to carry the captain and a few guests on adventures straight from the pages of Jules Verne. For example Triton 1000/2 MKII, U-Boat Worx HiPer Sub 2, Seamagine Aurora-3C, Project Neptune, U-Boat Worx Super Yacht Sub 3, Seamagine Aurora-6S.

  10. Zapata Flyride: This flying personal watercraft works just like a flying jet ski and is easier than riding a bike because it’s doesn’t require the rider to maintain balance. Internal sensors and electronics make the necessary adjustments to keep the unit level and steady, even when riders shift their weight.
