Pfizer Welcomes New CFO Amit Agarwal

Pfizer has welcomed Amit Agarwal into the role of Chief Financial Officer. According to official records filed with the stock exchange, Agarwal’s appointment also includes a significant role as an additional director, holding the position of Executive Director – Finance & Chief Financial Officer. This appointment is effective from February 26, 2024, and is slated for a duration of five years.

Prior to joining Pfizer, Agarwal held a prominent position at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), where he served as the General Manager of Finance, overseeing the finance function for the sales and customer development vertical. Additionally, in his capacity as the Financial Controller for Global Business Services (GBS), he led a comprehensive end-to-end controllership. This role involved collaborating with a diverse team spread across geographies, including India, the UK, the Philippines, and Brazil.

Before his tenure at HUL, Agarwal contributed to Vedanta Resources Limited, where he served as a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager and later as a Factory Commercial Manager. His multifaceted background positions him well to contribute to Pfizer’s financial strategies and objectives in the years to come.
