Gavin Isaacs Appointed CEO of Entain as Leadership Transition Continues
Gavin Isaacs has been appointed as the new CEO of Entain, succeeding interim CEO Stella David following Jette Nygaard-Andersen’s departure last year. David will transition to the role of chair, replacing Barry Gibson at the end of September.
Isaacs brings a wealth of experience in the gambling industry to his new role. He steps down immediately from his position as chair of Games Global to lead Entain. Isaacs has also served on the boards of DraftKings and SBTech in recent years.
From June 2014 to December 2016, Isaacs was President and CEO of Scientific Games, later becoming vice chairman of the company, which has since rebranded as Light and Wonder. His earlier career includes roles as CEO of Shuffle Master, COO at Bally Technologies, and President of Aristocrat. Before entering the gambling sector, Isaacs spent over 12 years working in the legal field.
Stella David, the outgoing interim CEO, welcomed Isaacs’ appointment, highlighting the positive progress made during her tenure and expressing confidence in Isaacs’ leadership to realize Entain’s ambitious plans.
Barry Gibson also voiced his support for Isaacs, noting his proven leadership and operational experience as key factors for guiding Entain into its next chapter. He thanked David and the Entain team for their significant operational improvements and progress towards strategic priorities.
Isaacs expressed his enthusiasm about leading Entain, praising the company’s iconic brands, talented workforce, and refocused strategy. He emphasized his confidence in Entain’s bright future and his eagerness to drive the company toward achieving its strategic goals and creating stakeholder value.
