Verbit has announced the appointment of Yair Amsterdam as its new CEO. Amsterdam, who had been serving as interim CEO since February, previously held the roles of COO and President since 2022.
Expressing his commitment to the role, Amsterdam stated that he is honored to serve as Verbit’s CEO. He emphasized that as the leader in verbal intelligence, Verbit is dedicated to innovating and bringing new AI technologies to market to help customers achieve their goals and business objectives.
Amsterdam brings nearly two decades of leadership experience in the technology and software sectors, known for driving positive change and operational excellence. Under his leadership this year, Verbit introduced several key innovations and partnerships. These include Captivate, a next-generation AI-powered captioning and transcription technology that offers accurate, affordable solutions tailored to customer needs. Another significant development was Legal Real-Time, an AI-integrated platform that streamlines digital court reporting, providing accurate live transcription during legal proceedings and enhancing efficiency for court reporters and real-time access for attorneys. Additionally, Verbit formed a strategic partnership with ENCO, offering its media customers additional hardware encoders and cloud captioning options, which improved caption connectivity, quality, reliability, and delivery.
Verbit is also advancing its capabilities beyond transcription with Gen.V, a suite of insight-generating applications that leverage generative AI to provide actionable insights from transcripts, helping customers unlock greater value.
