Industry Stalwart Shobha Sant Takes the Helm at Creativeland Studios

Creativeland Studios has announced the appointment of Shobha Sant as their new CEO. Sant is set to steer Creativeland’s filmed entertainment division and manage the talent business of AIG-India, a collaborative effort between Creativeland Studios and Artist International Group. This joint venture aims to elevate Indian talent to international recognition while also introducing global talent to the Indian market.

With a career spanning over three decades, Sant’s most recent role was head of content alliances for films at Jio Studios, owned by billionaire Mukesh Ambani. She will collaborate with Creativeland founder and managing director Sajan Raj Kurup and COO Alpa Golcha, who previously worked at Amazon Prime Video India and Dharma Productions. Before her tenure at Jio Studios, Sant was the CEO of Bhansali Productions for over five years, where she also produced the period epic “Padmaavat.”

Sajan Raj Kurup expressed his enthusiasm for Sant’s appointment, highlighting her extensive experience and the positive impact she is expected to have on the company’s mission to champion great content and talent, elevating India’s presence on the global stage.

Creativeland Studios, part of Creativeland Worldwide Limited, continues to expand its presence in the entertainment industry. The company co-produced the documentary “The Commandant’s Shadow,” directed by Daniela Volker, which was acquired by Warner Bros. and HBO and is currently screening in U.S. theaters. Additionally, Creativeland Studios produced the sixth season of “No Filter Neha” in collaboration with Jio TV.

Sant shared her excitement about joining Creativeland Studios and Creators Inc., emphasizing the vision to build a modern entertainment ecosystem focused on high-quality content and world-class talent, aiming to bridge the gap between India and the global entertainment industry.

Creativeland also operates Creators Inc., a versatile U.K.-based production company engaged in producing content across various formats including advertising, TV, film, documentary, and audio, led by CEO Jani Guest and COO Jamie Jessop.
