Indosuez Wealth Management Appoints Michaël Kofman as CEO and Hong Kong Branch Manager

Indosuez Wealth Management, the global wealth management brand of Crédit Agricole Group, has announced the appointment of Michaël Kofman as Chief Executive Officer and Hong Kong Branch Manager, effective September 1, 2024. Kofman will succeed Olivier Livenais, who has held the role since early 2020.

Kofman will oversee Indosuez’s wealth management operations in Hong Kong and will report to Omar Shokur, Indosuez’s Chief Executive Officer for Asia. Shokur emphasized Kofman’s extensive experience and proven leadership at Indosuez, particularly in driving growth and managing credit and compliance initiatives, as key factors that make him ideal for leading the Hong Kong teams.

Kofman highlighted Hong Kong’s status as a key wealth creation hub with tremendous potential amidst a competitive business landscape. He expressed eagerness to contribute to clients’ successes, reinforce Indosuez’s best-in-class wealth solutions, and drive sustainable expansion in the fast-growing region alongside his team.

Kofman’s appointment is subject to the approval of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. He will relocate from Geneva to Hong Kong for this role. Kofman joined Crédit Agricole Group in 2002 and brings nearly 30 years of experience in financial services. He has been with Indosuez for over 13 years, most recently serving as the head of structuring and financing for Indosuez’s wealth management business, overseeing teams in Switzerland and Asia. His previous leadership roles at Indosuez included positions in compliance and credit solutions.

Before joining Indosuez, Kofman spent eight years at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank. There, he served as regional head of internal audit in Japan and audit manager of group internal audit based in Paris.
