Global CEO Laura Maness has announced Sarah Trombetta as the new CEO for Grey’s APAC region, effective immediately. Trombetta, who previously led Grey Hong Kong from 2016 to 2019 and currently serves as AMEA chief client officer for P&G at Grey and WPP, will now oversee Grey’s operations across APAC.

With over two decades of industry experience, Trombetta has held significant positions, including CEO of Red Havas AU from 2019 to 2021 and roles at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, KAIZO, and Brand Influence GCI Media Group. She also serves on the board of Wear It Purple, promoting safe and inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ youth.

The APAC region, a key market for Grey’s ongoing strategic initiatives, will benefit from Trombetta’s client-focused leadership and innovative approach. Her dynamic leadership style is expected to enhance team performancae and client value, contributing significantly to the company’s growth.

As part of Grey’s broader restructuring, Trombetta has promoted Masahiko Okazaki to CEO of Grey Tokyo, also effective immediately. Okazaki, formerly the Chief Operating Officer, joined Grey in January 2022 from TBWA/Hakuhodo. His extensive market knowledge and strong client relationships are expected to drive growth and elevate Grey Tokyo’s renowned creative standards.

Grey continues to produce impactful work globally. Recent projects include using generative AI with Coway to visualize dreams in Malaysia and collaborating with PETA to create an animated campaign against British pig farming. Additionally, Grey gained attention with a viral Super Bowl ad featuring Chris Pratt for Pringles and influenced a significant increase in mammograms in Argentina by coordinating with NGOs to shift their World Cancer Day campaigns.
