Gaurav Banerjee Named CEO of Sony Pictures Networks India
Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has named Gaurav Banerjee as its new Chief Executive Officer. Banerjee steps into the role following the departure of NP Singh, who resigned last week after a 25-year tenure at Sony. Banerjee is expected to commence his new role by August, according to media reports.
Banerjee, an alumnus of Jamia Millia Islamia University and St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, began his professional journey as a journalist. Most recently, he served as CEO at Disney Star, where he was responsible for content for Hindi entertainment and Disney+ Hotstar. Additionally, he managed Star Bharat, as well as Hindi and English movies, kids and infotainment, and regional channels in eastern India.
