Mark Taggart Assumes the Role of CFO at Toyota Material Handling North America
Mark Taggart, former President and CEO of Toyota Industries Commercial Finance (TICF), has transitioned into the position of Chief Financial Officer for Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) effective April 1. In his new role, Taggart will oversee the financial strategy of TMHNA’s major group companies, including Toyota Material Handling and The Raymond Corporation, from his office in Coppell, Texas.
In tandem with Taggart’s transition, John Crews, TICF General Counsel, Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer, will succeed him as TICF President. Taggart expressed confidence in Crews’ leadership abilities, highlighting his commitment to TICF’s culture and values, as well as his strategic acumen in driving sustained success and growth.
Continuing his role as Chairman of Toyota Industries Global Commercial Finance, Taggart will maintain oversight of TICF operations, aligning financial goals across the Toyota group of companies. With a commitment to fiscal responsibility and a dedication to Toyota’s culture of continuous improvement, or kaizen, Taggart plans to introduce efficient solutions to propel TMHNA’s success and prioritize customer satisfaction throughout the ownership lifecycle.
Taggart brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having joined the Toyota group of companies in 1996. Throughout his tenure, he has demonstrated consistent profitable sales growth and a commitment to exceptional service delivery. His strategic vision has shaped the company’s global footprint, including significant milestones such as the establishment of Toyota Financial Savings Bank (TFSB) in 2005.
Prior to his appointment as TMHNA CFO, Taggart held key leadership roles at Toyota Financial Services Corporation (TFSC), overseeing sales finance companies in the Asia-Pacific Region. His tenure also includes roles as President and CEO of TFSB, where he drove impactful initiatives contributing to the company’s success.
