Hitesh Lath Succeeds Juho Parkkinen as CFO of C3 AI
C3 AI (NYSE: AI), a leading Enterprise AI application software company, has announced the appointment of Hitesh Lath as its Chief Financial Officer, effective March 1, 2024. Lath will succeed Juho Parkkinen, who has served in the role since 2021 and will transition to the position of Vice President of Finance within the company. Prior to joining C3 AI, Lath held senior finance and accounting leadership roles at EY, amassing over two decades of experience catering to the specialized needs of technology companies.
Thomas M. Siebel, CEO of C3 AI, expressed his pleasure at Lath’s appointment, citing his extensive financial leadership background as ideal for guiding the company’s growth trajectory. Siebel commended Parkkinen for his role in fortifying C3 AI’s financial management and reporting processes during his tenure.
In his remarks, Parkkinen expressed gratitude for his experience leading C3 AI’s finance and accounting teams, highlighting it as both rewarding and enlightening. He expressed enthusiasm about continuing to mentor and support the company’s finance team in his new capacity.
Michael G. McCaffrey, C3 AI Board Member and Chair of the C3 AI Audit Committee praised Parkkinen’s contributions, noting his adept leadership during the company’s IPO process and team-building efforts.
Lath acknowledged Parkkinen’s foundational work, expressing appreciation for the commitment and expertise of C3 AI’s workforce. Having joined the company as Chief Accounting Officer in December 2023, Lath emphasized his eagerness to contribute to the realization of Tom Siebel’s vision for success in the enterprise AI sector.
