Svante Technologies Names Justine Fisher as its new CFO
Svante Technologies Inc. has announced the appointment of Justine Fisher as its Chief Financial Officer. The company has experienced rapid growth following the closure of its Series E fundraising round in December 2022, raising US$318 million. This expansion includes nearly doubling its employee count and welcoming new executives in pivotal roles such as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, and Chief Commercial Officer.
Based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, Svante remains committed to providing innovative carbon capture solutions. Founded in 2007, Svante has emerged as a leader in carbon capture and removal, employing nearly 300 professionals.
Bringing more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, capital raising, and investor communications within commodities and industrial sectors, Justine will oversee Svante’s strategic planning, financial functions, and the People and Culture group. Her role extends to managing Svante’s financial relations with external stakeholders, ensuring compliance, and exploring digital business technologies for real-time insights to drive decision-making and enterprise value.
Claude Letourneau, Svante’s President and CEO, highlighted the company’s global expansion efforts, emphasizing the necessity of aligning financial operations to support such rapid scaling. Letourneau expressed his satisfaction in welcoming Justine to Svante’s executive team and announced the direct reporting structure involving Karen Miller (VP of Finance and Internal Controls), Kent Alekson (VP of Corporate Development), and Tyler Cheyne (VP of People and Culture) to the new CFO.
Ms. Fisher expressed her honor in joining Svante and contributing to the company’s carbon capture initiatives. She acknowledged Svante’s impressive growth and expressed anticipation of working alongside Claude and the team to further drive the company’s expansion on a global scale.
