Stater Bros. Markets Names Mike Reed as Senior Vice President and CFO
Stater Bros. Markets, based in San Bernardino, California, has announced the promotion of Mike Reed to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. As stated in a news release, this promotion, effective immediately, follows the recent retirement of Dave Harris, who served as the former Executive Vice President for Finance, Chief Financial Officer, and Principal Accounting Officer.
Mike Reed will now report directly to CEO and Chairman Pete Van Helden and will assume responsibility for the company’s financial management, as mentioned in the release. Furthermore, Reed will continue to oversee the company’s real estate development and remain an integral part of the executive leadership team.
Reed brings over 23 years of experience in retail real estate development, according to the release. He joined Stater Bros. Markets nearly a decade ago in 2014, starting as a Senior Director in the real estate and property management department.
In 2016, he was promoted to Vice President for Real Estate, and in 2018, he became the Senior Vice President for Real Estate and Development. In 2021, Reed assumed his most recent role as Senior Vice President of Property Development and Finance.
Mike Reed holds a Master of Science in Food Industry Leadership from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Boise State University. He serves on the board of directors of the Air Conditioning Contractors Association and holds the position of treasurer.
