    The Shadow Creek golf course is in Las Vegas. It is the most expensive golf course in the United States. Not only in Las Vegas and the United States but it is also ranked one of the best and most expensive golf courses in the world. It is nestled in the Nevada hills and 20-30 minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip. It was designed in 1990 and made available to the public in the late 2000s. The average cost to play here is $600 and can exceed $750 in peak season.

  2. Royal Melbourne
    Established 131 years ago in 1891, it is among the oldest golf courses. It is located in Black Rock, Victoria, southeast of Melbourne in Australia. Its West course is among the top 5 in the world. Royal Melbourne has hosted numerous national and international events like the 1959 Canada Cup, 1972 World Cup, and the Bicentennial Classic, a tournament to celebrate the Australian Bicentenary in 1988. As the name suggests, the cost to play here is around $550 for the East and around $750 for the west course, making it among the top 5 expensive golf courses.

  3. TPC Sawgrass Players Stadium
    It is located in Ponta Vedra, Florida, and is the host venue for the annual Players Championship. It was built and designed in 1980 by Pete and Alice Dye. The Tournament Players Club (TPC) has a capacity of 36,000 spectators. The cost to play here reaches $720 in peak seasons.

  4. Trump National Doral Miami
    It is a luxury golf course in Doral, Florida, owned by the former president of the United States of America, Donald Trump. It was designed in 1962 by an estate expert named Alfred Kaskel. It is spread around 800 acres of land, and along with the golf course, it is also a country club, a series of lodges, and hotels with over 700 rooms. Despite Donald Trump’s political reputation, it is one of the world’s most luxurious and expensive golf courses. It has 72 holes, including the Blue Monster at Doral. The cost to play here during peak season can skyrocket up to $650.

  5. Pebble Beach Links
    Located right by the Pacific in California, Pebble beach links is considered one of the most aesthetic beaches in the world. It was designed by Douglas Grant and Jack Neville and is 7040 yards long. The US Open and PGA Championship are two of the famous events to have been hosted here. Players can enjoy a few nice golf rounds at $575 per person and round.

  6. Kingsbarns Golf Links
    This course was built some 20 years ago in Fife, Scotland. The course space has been used for golf for hundreds of years, dating back to the 18th century when a golfing society was established in the 19th century. The course was designed in 2000 by Kyle Philips and Mark Parsinen across a spectacular area of 1.8 miles of land along the coast of the North Sea in Scotland. It hosted many prestigious tournaments like the Ricoh Women’s British Open in 2017, the Jacques Léglise Trophy, and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. The cost to play here is about $448.82 per player.

  7. St Andrews Royal Golf Club
    The St. Andrews royal golf club is also called “The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews.” It is based in St Andrews in Scotland and was previously known as The R&A. As the name “ancient” suggests, it was established in 1754 as the Society of St Andrews Golfers. This golf course has seen the history of King William IV to the international open championship for men. It had a male-only membership policy and welcomed its first honorary female member in 2015. Although it is a royal club, the cost to play here has been standard for many years, i.e., $250.
