These Are The World’s 50 Highest-Ranked Universities, MIT, Stanford, Harvard, Caltech, Oxford, And Cambridge Tops QS 2019 Rankings
Globally, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has been crowned the best university in the world, according to the QS World University Rankings 2019, coming in at first place among 1,000 academic institutions around the world.
Stanford University and Harvard University retained their second and third places. California Institute of Technology (Caltech) has maintained its position among the world’s top 10 universities, ranking 4th globally.
Europe’s top university was the University of Oxford, ranked 5th overall, and it was closely followed by another British institutions, University of Cambridge, ranked 6th. ETH Zurich sits 7th, and Imperial College London a place behind in 8th.
This was followed by the University of Chicago (No. 9), the University College London (No. 10), National University of Singapore (No. 11) and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (No. 12). Universities are also listed based research citations, faculty to student ratio and internationalisation.
